Both companies come from a position of excellence, with the desire to create market-leading products that offer tangible gains to the driving enthusiast. In particular, Steinbauer has a very strong portfolio of VW Group and BMW products, which was where Milltek was happy to step in with its proven range of systems to allow the Swiss firm’s engineers to be able to configure its range of performance software to maximise the benefit created by Milltek’s superior flow characteristics.
The result is an exceptionally well-crafted range of software, which when fitted in conjunction with the appropriate Milltek Sport system, will give market-leading performance gains. Many of Steinbauer’s performance packages for VW Group cars offer up to 20% more torque and power, combined with smooth and progressive throttle maps, to give a true ‘factory with attitude’ driving demeanour. Milltek Sport are currently conducting power tests which include both the tuning box and exhaust system which means gains will be much higher.
Commenting on this latest partnership, Milltek Sport’s managing director Steve Pound said, “We are delighted to be working with a tuner that has the industry-standing and experience of Steinbauer. Their engineering ethos is entirely in-keeping with our own, and they are clearly striving to create the best tuning packages available. Although we conduct many hundreds of test hours and miles with each new system design, it’s always very gratifying when a leading tuner confirms our own test data within their own development programme. We’re all very much looking forward to building on this wonderful working relationship.”
